Hi, I'm Sian! I'm a part-time potter full-time developer living in Saskatoon located on Treaty 6 Territory, the homeland of the Métis. I have always been big into crafts and creating; I took my first pottery class in 2019 and that was where I found a love for this incredibly unpredictable, often heartbreaking, and always exhilarating craft.
I'm only a few years into my craft, so I consider each piece an opportunity to expermient and explore new techniques. Currently, I'm focusing on different forms of surface decoration. I've been combining underglazes with carving techniques and sculpting methods, and the results are always surprising (and often good)! I hope to make ceramics that bring people as much joy as I take in making them. If you see a piece you love, it was made for you!
